A drug free zone is a legal term for an area within 1,000 feet from a school, park, playground, or other designated area where children tend to gather. Offenses that occur in drug free zones negatively impact charges by affecting parole eligibility. Drug free zone possession charges also amplify the punishment range one degree of an offense. For example, a third-degree possession charge in a drug free zone will result in a second-degree charge. Texas Teen to Serve Two Years in Jail following Fatal DUI Crash

A Texas teenager, Ethan Couch, recently appeared in court after causing the death of four people in a fatal 2013 DUI accident. The night of the accident, Couch played “beer pong” with his friends. Some of his friends supplied the beer. As Couch drove his family’s pickup truck home that night, he lost control and caused an accident. Authorities found that Couch was traveling 70 mph in a 40 mph zone when he collided with a disabled people killing four individuals....

Recently a Texas teenager appeared in court accused of causing a crash that killed two women. The fatal accident occurred near Colorado Boulevard and Arapahoe Road in Centennial. Incidents of drunk driving, unfortunately, continue to run rampant here in Texas. Many times drunk driving leads to a fatal accident. Just recently, right here in Denton, Texas, a drunk driver caused the death of four innocent people. Wilson Rene Molinares, a 22-year-old student at Texas State, was driving his car in the opposite direction down I-35 northbound. He then collided with a van killing its four occupants. This accident was so bad that it took four two hours to pry the van apart to get the deceased out....
